IMPORTANT change to Fiji Land Laws 2015

Bula
Does anyone have any new info about the Fijian land laws Bill 13??
Looks like this is going to be a real pain for both land owners in town areas and also the rural and outlying areas and islands. From January 1st 2015 there is now a 2 year window for undeveloped freehold land owners To build a house with construction costs of minimum FJD$250,000 or face fines of 10% of your land value every 6 months until a house is completed. Anyone who has tried to do anything in Fiji will know this is nuts. There are no where near the materials or the builders to achieve this. Getting a building permit can take 6 months or more. Unless we rally to head this off it could ruin many dreams. I suggest we try and talk about this topic as much as possible and research all avenues.

For those who don't know here are some links.
the munroleys law one is quite comprehensive.
