Medical questions

Hello,
My husband and I own property in Fiji and will commence building a permanent home soon. One of our concerns is the medical system while living in Fiji. I understand that it's recommended to acquire expat health care insurance for larger medical issues but we would like hear about first hand experience using the local doctors and hospitals.
