American Looking for Work in France

Hello! I am an American female. I lived in France as a student from 1996-2001. I am now back home in the USA and I really want to go back to France! The problem is that in order to get a work visa, I have to find a job in France first. I know that this is virtually impossible being in the USA. This really bothers me and I am not ready to marry a French stranger in order to go back to France.
I would be interested to know if any of you know of any companies in this country that hire Americans to go live and work in France. I would be greatly appreciative of any suggestions!
