Reciprocal States for Drivers Licenses

I just had a friend tell me that she was able to exchange a driving license from Ohio for a French one. I have to assume that this means that the list of states has been updated but I can't find official notice anywhere. It looks like we will be heading back to the US for a while but don't want to start all over when we move back to France. This means I want to know how tightly I need to hold onto my French license!
