looking for recommendation of towns

My family will be moving to the Normandy region about 1 hour west from Paris. We are looking for a community that would be about 30min. from the city with easy access to train, community swimming pool and an activie family environment. Since learning the language will be our first challenge I would also like to have access to other internationally minded people. Does anyone have recommnedations of towns or cities? We will be looking for a single family home to rent. Thank-you. LC
