we have been trying to find out which area of france would suit us both climate & budget, I have been given such differing info' on various areas that I'm totally lost!
1- the charente is warm in winter 2- no it is not?
1- the charente has a good market for letting
2- it's a bad bet, high crime, dodgy agents, everyone getting out of it -don't touch it?
1- try the aquitaine, houses are not much more expensive. 2- yes they are & you won't get any garden, but you might be able to buy a bit?
1 Aquitaine is ok if you want to retire, but no good for children. 2 -great for kids & a bit on the hilly side if you are old?
1 aquitaine is easy to reach from UK. 2 -no it isn't?
& SO ON FOR MOST AREAS I HAVE TRIED
we need a fairly quiet, warmish winter, good for kids, bit of garden / land that you can reach from uk without your own helicopter/hot air balloon or mountain yak- does it exist? if so where is it?
HELP!!! DOES ANYONE KNOW THE TRUTH, TELL ME PLEASE BEFORE I GO TOTALLY NUTS!!!!!!!!
thanks to all expats out there, bye
