moving pets FROM France

Its a long shot, i know, but does anyone have any knowledge re moving pets from France having bought them from the UK, on to a third country? We, together with our cat have been here for over a year (cat in the PETS scheme with rabies jab up to date) but now there is a chance we may need to move to Cyprus. I'd love any advice on what paperwork i need from the French (export cert?) end as I onl;y speak very basic French and I found we only got the UK export procedure correct after checking and double checking.
