Info on Annecy

I am going to Annecy in February 2004, which is near the Swiss border and am looking for any info on the town. I will be attending the ALPES language school and will be staying for 1 year on a long stay student visa. I am fairly proficient in the language already, but wanted to know if there are any English speaking expats in the area that I can make contact with before I go over.

If anyone has any info on Annecy or the school, please let me know. I can't find a lot in the travel books I've found.
