we are almost ready to take the huge leap, leaving UK for a new life in France.
My husband and I want to enjoy our retirement in France, initially hoping I could part with my two horses, but the sad truth us that I can't. So we have been seriously searching for our new home. We have agreed the sale of our property in UK and the would-be new owners are keen to take possession. We have been backwards and forwards whenever we have found a horse-sitter here, but it is proving very expensive and we would prefer to actually be in France while we continue our search.
Of course finding somewhere for the horses does limit us somewhat, so I am asking in the hope anyone can give me any hope of being able to rent a property whilst we search. We are not too concerned for ourselves as we have just bought a caravan ro live in while we continue the search, but a paddock where we could either rent a house, or site our caravan alongside, would be ideal.
Our next problem will be regarding location, so far our search has been very widespread, we seem to love every place [or so it seems] that we visit.
Good riding country, a great view, a house that desn't need rebuilding, and possibilities of gites being available, and did I mention water, being close to some sort of water, either lake or river would be good also.
We don't have a huge budget for our dream, about 350000¬ depending on condition.
