I would like to move to France

Bonjour
I'm in a unique situation and I need some advice. I'm lucky to have dual citizenship US/French. I speak french very well still and it is actuallly my first language. Although I have been in the States for so long and english has become my primary language. If I lived in France I could become fluent in French again in no time.
I'm 34 and originally from French Polynesia. I moved to the U.S when I was 12 years old and have been here since except for 4 years in Europe in the early 90's. I'm feeling myself being pulled again to Europe. This time I want to move to France and I need some advice from anyone who has moved there from the U.S. recently.
I would like to move to Paris but it is very expensive. I currently live in Los Angeles.
I'm in the process of selling my small real estate business. I want to do something that will satisfy me and fullfil me.
therefore, I would like to do something in the arts field. Photography has recently become a hobby.
Although, I don't know if i could support myself in this field. I would need a real job. I would also ike to live close to an equestrian stable as I l would like to ride/compete again. France has wonderful equestrian facilities but I don't really know where they are. So I don't know if Paris is the place.

I'm attracted to France and in no particular order because:

1.Quality of life
2.I want to speak french again in my everyday life. I miss it.
3. One of the best health care systems
4.The beauty of the country.
5. My brother lives in France
6.I want get far away from this administration.

How has your experience been?
Would you recommend it?
How difficult was it to find work?
Any advice would be great.

Help!!

Merci
