temporary living in Paris

Hello! I am a 24 year old American, living in Los Angeles, and I'm thinking of taking a few months this year to live in Paris (or nearby). My main concern here is continuing to earn enough money to survive. Right now I am self-employed, working in the entertainment industry as a background actor. I am also making jewelry, and have already sold some to a store. I'm hoping to continue doing that here in L.A., and would like to do it in France as well. I do some selling on Ebay, which brings in a little money, but not enough to live off of.
What would you suggest I do to earn a little money while staying in France? Thanks!
