Moving to Nice - Renting an apartment

Hi - Could anyone advise please?

I would like to rent an apartment in Nice next year for 1-2 years.

Does anyone know what the average cost of a 1/2 bed apartment is and areas that are good to live in. The area does not have to be the most expensive but safe!

Also, if anyone has advice on hidden extras when renting, landlords, agents, etc., I would really appreciate this - thanks.
