Nice Living !?

Hi
I have been thinking about moving from England to Nice. At the moment its kind of a thoughts process but i would like to know what its actually like to live, work etc from people who actually live out there. I visited not long ago and the place knocked me out it was awesome. Im in the Navy at the moment working as a Leading Physical Trainer on borad HMS SOMERSET i think its time to move on and start a new life but still stay in my line of work. Would that be possible ? i guess anything is possible i would just like some more info from people.
