temporarily moving to france need advice

I have been offered a year long fellowship in Lille (im a surgeon). The job starts in January. I am moving with my young family and will need to rent a furnished place and sort out ?schools (children are 3 and 5). Any suggestions ggenerally or locally would be greatly valued.
