Moving to Loire Valley 2009

I am considering a work-related move to the Loire Valley (Angers) early next year. I am American, married with 3 kids ages 5, 7, and 9, and we have spent the last 4 years in China. My specific questions:

- I am interested to know any other Americans living in Angers

- I am interested to know about foreigners' experience with sending their kids to schools in Angers or elsewhere in the Loire Valley (e.g. were there any resources to help them learn French quickly)?
