Canadian moving to France...

15 years ago
I will be moving to my boyfriends in Allinges, FR (near Swiss border) in early July.
Would love any tips on socializing or North Americans who are in and around these parts...I am bringing my little Jack Russell dog so would also love to meet other dog lovers. I am taking a French course at the Universite Geneve for 3 weeks hoping to get the basics.
Any tips or suggestions on this life changing opportunity and adjusting to life in EUR would be greatly appreciated. I am also a photographer so hope to meet others that way too.
