Moving to the Auvergne

Hello,
I am Australian and I recently married my Dutch girlfriend, we have been living close to Amsterdam for 6 yrs now and we have decided to move to France. We are targeting the Auvergne region and we are wondering if anyone has useful advise and tips, especially regarding fiding work & buying a farm.
