unemployment & aide de lodgement

hi please please has anyone been through the process i have lived in france for 5 years with my children and have allways worked ,my last job finished in may ,i have made a claim for unemployment benefit and aide de lodgement ,its has been over 2 weeks and i have heard nothing from either, if anyone has been through this please can you tell me if this is normal ,and how much longer it will take ,i am behind with my rent at the moment and am quite concerned i shall lose my house ,and financially things are getting very bad .
