moving to France what situation about working from home

I am moving to France in November but being at the older end of the jobs market and with little or no French for working capacity I think I would be better looking at the work from home market.. I have customer service/HR and a good degree but can type reports etc or anything else involving admin work.. what kind of pay could I expect ph .. just want to make sure I can afford this line of work.. Many thanks for any assistance
