House sitting in France

Hello All,
I am new on this forum but glad I have found you!
My husband and I are planing to move to France in late spring/ summer this year. We would like to 'try before we buy' so we are looking for a house sitting job in France (south, south-west or Alpes).
We will do house sitting for free, we can do pet siiting as well as we love aminals, can do all sorts of gardening and house works. Although we are accountants we enjoy DIY and the above.
We can provide any required info, insurance, references etc.

Do you have any advice for us how to find this sort of job? Maybe you know someone that needs house sitters? Any help or guidlines will be much appreciated.
