So I landed a GREAT challenging job in Paris as a software developer. I went through the waiting period, and finally got my work visa and I was exited to start working. I quit my job, sold my car, left my apartment, bought a plane ticket and put all my life in a few suitcases. a few weeks before my trip I was told by my future employer that our contractual agreement would be postponed until the end of September. So I changed my ticket to the 15th of September and thought, "well I'll visit my brother that lives in Nice while waiting to start working". On October first I called my employer and asked him for an update. He told me that he was very sorry, but they were still in negotiations and that he cannot commit to anything until those negotiations were resolved, and that he expects a resolution my mid to end of October, but he’s not sure. So I started looking for new employment although I still have hopes. So my questions are:
1) How difficult it is to change the visa’s sponsor?
2) I am highly skilled and I do get offers, but my French is pretty basic (although being here I’m learning quite fast) and I’m getting turned down for that reason. How difficult is to land a job via monster.fr or similar, as a non EU?
3) I have some money left and I have a lot invested in this ”odyssey”, so I decided to spend some on my savings and move my return ticket. Is this wise?
As always, Thanks for the help
