Hello,
My family and I are flying to France for the second time. This time to try and make the move to the beautiful country side of Franche-Comte. We are a young family just starting out and we are expecting our second child this fall. While we were there the first time we made friends with a great young family as well, who said they would sponsor us while we try and get our footing in France. We have yet to get Visa's and I know we need to get a green card if we are to have our child there without paying the maximum amount for child birth. I guess my question is, what is the best way to tackle this situation? Get a long stay visa? I get my income from the US via my artist job, which I can work from anywhere in the world. I also wanted to finish my Bachelors degree in Illustration in Lyon after we get situated. Would it be best to try and get a student visa or long stay?
