Hi there,
I'm a US citizen marrying a French citizen later in the year when our K-1 Visa gets approved. Can my fiance' who is a French citizen, keep his French healthcare while living here if he pays into social security there?
(I ask because he's having some medical procedures done there that my insurance does not cover here, before he arrives, but there may be some complications down the road that would require him to potentially have another medical procedure, and my health insurance through my work considers it "experimental" and "not medically necessary," therefore it's not covered. I'd rather know that we would have the option to fly back to France for whatever he may need done down the road and have it be covered, vs. have to some how come up with $67,000 for a procedure.
Any advice on this topic would be super helpful. Thanks, in advance!
