Dual Citizen seeks advice about health care

My wife and I are both Canadian citizens retirees. I recently acquired German citizen status and have several questions.

We are both pensioned and I know that our pension requires that I get Government Health insurance. Does my wife also get the same coverage?

We currently have a home in Canada and also one in Mexico. Our plan is to sell the one in Mexico and then establish residence in Germany and visit neighbouring EU countries, Will our German Health care coverage apply to both of us if we travel within the EU?
