Where is the best place to live - I'm focusing on Corfu or Crete mainly but I'm open to other suggestions. . .

What are primary differences between Corfu and Crete in these areas: Are there English speakers? Are the people welcoming and friendly? Do many speak English? Can I get Greek lessons? What is the pace of life? Restaurants, stores, activities, gyms? I'm not religious . . would that we a problem? Are there lots of Expats? Are they friendly? Are there any single women like myself? What is the attitude toward independent women? What are major fun activities? How is transportation - rail, car, air? Will I need a car? Are single women safe if they are careful? How do I get 2 cats over there when I move? Will cats need to be quarantined? Is French spoken? How hot is it in summer? Are their frequent outages? Are air conditioners used in homes there? How expensive is it compared to U.S.? I'm sure there are a thousand things I need to ask so let me know what I've skipped!
