mailing a package to travelers passing through LakAtitlan or Antigua by road

This is not directly an expat question but I thought Expats might be experts-I'm trying to send a package to my son who is traveling through Guatemala. Is there any US related business that might reliably provide storage or receiving services for packages? Since he won't be staying in Guatemala but is rather vacationing there, will there be customs duties imposed? He will take the contents with him when he leaves the country. How do we code packages like that? I'm trying to make sure he gets the package and that it goes as smoothly as possible. Thank you if you can help.
