I want to buy a house but I have a serious problem

So I've been a 1099 employee, what this means is I get paid in cash as an independent contractor and it is my duty to pay taxes at the end of the year, instead of having the taxes taken out of my check like everyone else.

The problem is I have not been doing that.. I want to buy a house in Guatemala but I hear they will need proof of my income. I have no tax filings to show the banks. All I have is my 1099 forms which show how much I have made throughout the year. Will I be able to buy a house? Will I be able to have a Guatemalan bank account?
