best neighborhoods in Xela ?

Hi all ! My wife and I are moving to Xela in January or February. We speak Spanish and have lived abroad before...currently living in Nicaragua. We would greatly appreciate any recommendations on neighborhoods to live in and approximately how much we may spend. We also have two senior dogs. We are just looking for a basic home in a safe area. We'd also love to know which areas we should stay out of. We hope to be in Xela for 6-12 months. Thanks in advance for your help !
