Want to Own a Home

I fell in love with a wonderful Honduran man here in the US and we want to own a home in Honduras (his home county). His family lives in Rancho Grande and we want to be close enough to be able to take day trips to see them but not too close. We like our privacy. We Are both heading into our 50s and would like to be able to retire by the time we are sixth. Does anyone know the best places to buy a home and how we would go about doing that?
