Living (illegally) in Budapest

I was just wondering if anybody out there can tell me how easy it is to get away with living illegally in Budapest.

I'm planning to move there this fall. A few years ago I lived illegally in Prague for six months and had no problems, but because I'm a paranoid (and law-abiding) sort, I wondered if I could easily get away with it in Budapest too.

Can you just go to Vienna every three months and magically be "legal" again for another three months?
