Availability of jobs and how to apply from overseas?

1) We would need to at least secure a job for hubby right off. If he can't transfer in his company, do you have any suggestions for places to look? We are aware that Hungary give preference to their citizens and think that's great, but is it possible for people who aren't in upper-echelon jobs to find work there?

2) How difficult did you find it learning Hungarian? Is it at all like Romanian? (which I don't speak, but have friends who are Romanian)

3) Anyone over there moved there with pets? How crazy was it to do that? On top of having pets, one of us (me) hates flying and would rather take a boat. Anyone done that? Is it even possible with pets?
