European born married to an Indian national moving to India

Hi there,
I am moving to India on the 30th of Jan 2014. My husband is originally from India now he works there too. I'm very scared , I don`t wanna go at all and he knows it but I still have to go . there are many reason I don`t wanna go , first is I don`t wanna live with my in laws, its so old fashion to live with them all yet for them its normal . I want to be independent and have more space and most important a couple life. I told my husband all this but its always end up in arguments now I have closed this subject from past 3 months. Don't know how I`ll adjust over there? I lived in France for 20 years and 7 years in UK ! Even my parents and friends asking me if my hubby has found a house ? but problem is he doesn't want to live separate from his family..:( what can I do to change his mind ? how will I be able to adjust in this country ?? please help if you can
