Stupid Questions #1-99

I am semi retired...on a fixed income. Have been visiting Ireland for a decade and wonder if it is possible to live there for $500 a month.

I would rent rather than buy, and am used to very frugal small community life. I'm one of those who happens to enjoy carrots n' turnips n' spuds, and cheap entertainment like library browsing, and television.

I would like to live in the West of Ireland...Barna...Athenry...Connemara.

Is it possible?

My husband is a maintenance technician and major Mr. Fixit Guy, while I enjoy writing.

Any suggestions other than therapy will be appreciated. Thanks.
