Film School in Ireland

I am an undergraduate film major in the United States. I hope to get my B.A. in another country, and am particularly interested in Ireland (historically, culturally, and genetically). I have been looking seriously into the Institute of Art, Design, and Technology at Dun Laoghaire.
Has anyone lived in Dun Laoghaire, and can tell me what it is like? Further, has anyone been through college in Ireland, and can you give me some details on the experience?
If anyone has been through a film program in any other countries, I am open to more suggestions. I am also fascinated by Scotland and Norway.
