CHAT options here/Americans in Ireland?

I've just signed on (hello!)...and was looking for a CHAT option here or does anyone know a chat forum for expatriats...or wannebe EXPATS?

I'm in Calif...my husband and I would like to buy a little place in Ireland but with all the restrictions on Americans immigrating overseas I wonder if this can be done. (????)

We've no family connections nor would we be relocated by his employer. My husband is in the technical field and I volunteer for a non profit organization that outreaches to those who suffer with mental illness.

I would love to talk with people, who've against all odds, been able to move out of the States to Ireland or elsewhere in Europe.
