Attorney Moving to Ireland

I am an American attorney married to an Irish citizen and we are looking to move to Ireland this summer. I have an EU passport and hope to stay in the Galway area. I am looking into taking the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test and wanted to see if anyone has any tips/suggestions on where to live, the best way to get a legal job while studying for the exam and an average salary (or better yet what I should be aiming for salary wise for a family of five?) Also, any test tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
