moving to ireland around dublin

my husband our 2 kids and i are planning to move around Dublin in the next couple months.
we are French, but we have leaved abroad for a long time, canada, australia...
the 2 kids are 14 and 5, they speak fluent english so can go in any school.
i wanted to get some advices about the good places to leave, the schools, and the life there. if anyone can help it would be very appreciated.
