How's Tralee?

My wife and I are taking 1 year leave of absence from work to live in Ireland. We have two kids, age 9 & 11. We've lived abroad plenty before, and me and the kids are citizens in Ireland (dual US). I lived in Galway for a semester, but we want easier access to types of outdoor activities Kerry has to offer. Just wondering what opinions people have about Tralee. We're interested in that town because the size seems right for us (and big enough to meet people, but not too big), the location is good for outdoor activities and we're happy with some of the schools we spoke with, Interested in Waterford, Kinsale, and Westport, too, for comparison.iteratoriteratoriterator
