Irish cost of living

Those of you that have been saying it is cheap to live in Ireland better take a look at today's Irish Times. According to todays article (July 5, 2018) the cost of living in Ireland is 25% higher than the average EU country. It is 3rd highest after Denmark and Luxemburg. Yes, Eastern EU countries are cheaper but everywhere else is higher to give the average. But Ireland beats most of them. Great place to visit, but if you people from the US think it is cheaper to live there, forget it. You lose 17 to 19% alone exchanging from USD to Euro. Yes, the lawn always looks greener in the other fellows yard, and in the case of money, much Greener in Irelands yard.
