Does Anyone Out There Still Care?

This appears to be a behind closed door deal Ireland negotiated for themselves and in all likelihood a travesty of justice for American and other retirees to Ireland.

"Earlier this year, the Irish government agreed to ease restrictions on US citizens wishing to retire to Ireland as part of efforts to get access to the E-3 visa programme."

Why was this fact never reported by the Irish government or the Press?

"Those efforts have been led by the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Irish Embassy in Washington and the government's special envoy to the US Fine Gael TD John Deasy."

How could efforts to help American retirees be negotiated among units of the Irish government?

And Irish Central is now reporting in November that "the Irish government earlier this year agreed to ease restrictions on US citizens wishing to retire to Ireland? When was that reported anywhere? Wanna tell us exactly what was agreed on or do we simply wait for INIS to report it on their website as usual? Wanna guess whether American retirees to Ireland will be happy with this "easing"?

I know of no US representative involved in these negotiations. What bollocks.
