Help-Dublin move before Brexit

Hi,
I’m planning a move from London to Dublin with my work. Plan is to relocate before Brexit deadline (31-Oct).
That’s not a lot of time to get prepared.
Issue I have is with renting; I feel paralysed not knowing where to rent. The small town areas mentioned on this forum seem so far away from my work location, which is Dublin 4 (Merrion Road).
My question is: which area do most Dubliners live in? Is it within 1-9 areas?
Is it common to live in Dublin 22 or 24 and travel everyday to Dublin 4?
And my last question for anyone who can help, is that I’m looking for a modern apartment to move into (not really an old house or flat but something that’s new-ish). Is there an area in Dublin where there’ll likely be new highrise apartments like this?
I’m not bothered about area/nightlife or anything like that. Just hoping for a modern apartment.
