Brexit - when to move...

Hello. Can anyone help please? I intend to move from the UK to Ireland in the next couple of months and then apply for Irish Residency and eventually Citizenship (without any Irish ancestry) and regain my EU citizenship. I have a very likely job lined up but it may not be all in place before the end of 2020. Could anyone tell me please if I need to be living and working in Ireland before the end of the year in order to apply for Residency in Eire or can I do it early next year just as easily? It would be easier to continue working in the UK until my Irish job is ready for me to start it but I am happy to move if needs be! Thank you in advance for any help!
