My company is moving me from the States to Ireland for a 15 month assignment end of July/early August. I am a late 20s, single female and interested in living in a city to get me out and about and immersed in the culture. Our offices are in Limerick and I will only be in the office one a week or every other week.
I'll have corporate housing for 2mo and have lived in Limerick for 3mo before (in a hotel) so am interested in people's takes on Limerick vs. Galway vs. Cork - all options I'm exploring. Again, interested in being food, culture, a place where a single female can go and listen to music in a pub without judgment (hah), and make friends. Not interested in hanging out a bunch of uni students, but also after the pandemic year, not interested in being isolated in the country. Curious from anyone who's lived in these cities what the expat experience is like?
I should mention I am SUPER excited to be back in Ireland and for this adventure! I had the best time before!
