Staying on top of the market to buy

Some of my questions/thoughts are above in my introduction. I am wanting to learn from others who have lived in the US and love Ireland and have knowledge of either living in Ireland ( West Coast especially ) for part of the time and here part of the time, and possibly retiring some day in Ireland. Is there a network of US expats that get listings for cottages/homes before they go to Realtors? I just look forward to learning and hearing more.
