Best place to live for outdoors person with dogs

My company’s main office is near the airport in Dublin; we have a Field office in Galway. I won’t necessarily be in the office every day. - my hours will be varied as I will be working with my local team as well as colleagues in the US. I’ll start late in the day for Ireland, so we can work with teams on both sides of the pond. I will have a car for commuting into the office.

I’d really like to live in a rural setting close to hiking for daily/weekly walks, hill walking and would be nice to be close to any of the long distance trails (Dingle Way, etc.). It will be me (a middle age, fit, active woman) and my 2 dogs so don’t need a big place - just a clean and safe one in a beautiful location.

I’d really appreciate your thoughts and feedback! i have idea how difficult it would be to find a spot that look I described.
