Tax in Ireland

Hi, I am looking into retiring in Ireland. I am confused about taxes. Basic tax plus Universal Social Charge are on a sliding scale. However, there is an exit tax on investments. From what I gather, this applies to insurance policy investments and other investments such as ETFs whereby it is assumed after a certain period a Capital Gains tax is applied - my question relates to this Exit Tax and if it is applied to non-dividend USA shares held independently . Any help to understand would be appreciated and to whether I have missed any other taxes payable. Thank you
