Summer rental

I’m a dual citizen with Ireland and the USA. My non shedding 10 lb. bichon frisé and I would like to rent a small house for just the summer months and get a feel for what it’s like living there. Coming from Cape Cod in Massachusetts, I am used to colder weather; so I’m not concerned about that. I rented my house here in Massachusetts for the summer and thought it would be fun to live in Ireland for that time period. Can you please provide me with any guidance and information. Laat time, I rented a house in Galway City, which I loved, but I would be interested in renting a place on the East Coast, like Dalkey or Killiney.
