Work Permit for Self-Employed.

I am wanting to relocate to Israel, preferably Jerusalem. I am non-Jewish and self employed. I am a successful freelance software developer. My question would be is it any easier, harder, or impossible being self employed and wishing to immigrate to Israel? As everything I have read from the internet it seems you must have proof of employment by an employee in Israel etc. How does that work when you are your own boss? Anyone know?

Thanks
