Teaching English or farm work in Florence/Tuscany/Rome

Hello! My boyfriend and I planning to move from San Francisco to Italy in Sept 2004. We are in our mid-30's and have many years of work experience.

I am interested in teaching English and he would like to work on a farm. But we are also open to any other work we can find. We hope to stay for 6+ months, and are looking for any information, advice and contacts that will help us get situated.

Previously we traveled in Italy only as tourists, and do not have any idea how to find work there. Can anyone offer help?
