buying property in Calabria

Ciao - I thinking of buying a small apartment in a Pizzo, Calabria as an investment and to live. I would work there a few months and would like to rent it the other months. Does anyone have any tips or advice? Thoughts on the town itself; as a real estate investment, process tips, etc?
